Freespace- The "Micro" Aerospace Program
In 1998 we launched RadioFlier-1, a custom made weather balloon that took some beautiful shots of the upper reaches of the earth's atmosphere. These pictures were so amazing that I had no choice but to become serious about this. FreeSpace was born.
I also wrote a paper on this project, which was presented at the Space and Robotics 2002 Convention held by the American Society of Civil Engineers.
The "Freespace" Project allows us to experiment with our various projects in a productive way, and have fun in the process. For example, making a digital video transmitter takes on more excitement if it is flying on a drone aircraft.
Rover RPV (Remotely Piloted Vehicle)
We will be installing our "UAV HUB" product into an off-the-shelf foam trainer this year. This project is called "Rover", and we will post details. Rover is the test platform we will use to test our hub in a real world environment-- testing sensitivity, range, durability, and getting the bugs out. Click here for more information on the UAV HUB.
