Company: Virtual Media Integration (VMI)
Timeframe: 1992-1993
Title: VP of Technology, Business Partner
Reponsibilites: Design, Prototype and Lead development on the Max-Ray / STARR system
Languages: C, x86 assembly, TI DSP assembly

As VP of technology, I designed, prototyped, and lead development on the software for this company's first product, A turnkey system allowing the transmittal, storage, image enhancement, and reproduction of X-rays for the medical industry.

Part of this project involved the development of an assembly level graphics library for fast image enhancement, manipulation, and scaling, with our code writing pixels straight to the hardware. Most of the graphs code ran on a custom TI DSP graphics card, as machines at the time were incapible of manipulating images at the resolutions required.

The company was subsequently sold for $10 million to Systems Excellence in Canada.
